Location: York Mind, Highcliffe House, Highcliffe Court, Clifton, York, YO30 6BP

Day and Time: Mondays 4.30-6pm

What do we do?

• We deliver creative sessions by exploring emotions through the arts.
• We deliver a 6-week early intervention project to support young people through a mix of art media ranging from sculpture and watercolours to collage and painting.
• We focus on developing confidence, communication skills, self-esteem and self-expression and offer an opportunity to connect with others.
• We actively support young people to engage in conversations around mental health and help them to discover different positive coping strategies through using a range of art media. This will involve using components of peer support, psychoeducation, and creativity.
• We support groups of young people age 11-18 yrs. who are experiencing mental health challenges.

Note:

• Places on all groups will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
• Young people themselves are welcome to make referrals as well as parents, carers, or other professionals on their behalf.
• Under 16yrs old will need written parent/carer consent.
