The Gate York

This is not a service that is mental health specific, but it does look at supporting those who have been affected by drugs and alcohol which scientifically can have an impact on your mental health.

What do they offer?

The Gate York offers a range of support for young people up to 25 years affected by their own or someone else’s substance use. Their aim is to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to identify and appropriately respond to risks associated with substance use.

They offer 1 to 1 support anywhere in the community and can meet on your terms and be flexible around your commitments.

You may also see them in your schools sometimes also talking about the work they do.

This service is completely free.

Who is it for?

Young people up to 25 years affected by their own or someone else’s substance use.

How do I access support?

You can refer  yourself, a client, or a family member via this referral form:

Once the referral is made they will contact you within 10 days.
