This page has information about different mental health conditions, there are symptoms, causes and treatments and even some snippets and anecdotes of our experiences, of both ourselves and our friends and family.
Having symptoms of a conditions may not mean you have it or can be diagnosed with it but you may still need to find ways to cope. Mental health can go up and down and you may have one symptom one day and not another.
I wrote this page on a day when I actually felt quite low and wasn’t having the best of weeks but when I came back to proof read it, I was in a much better place, I’m not exactly sure why this happens to me but sometimes I know the things to do to help me.
Accepting that I felt a certain way and recognising it is important because it can help us understand what caused it and how to avoid it happening again, or noticing what helped and being able to do this again. And it can be different for everyone, for myself, exercise can really help, for Elizabeth, its music, singing really loudly (and badly) in her car, where thankfully, no one else can hear her.
