Generate

Welcome to Generate, we are a small grass roots charity based in York who support over 18-year-olds who are transgender, non- binary or questioning. We also run support groups for the parents and families of trans adults, kids and teens.

What do they offer?

We provide face to face and on-line, peer-led support groups in York, Leeds and Doncaster, and one to one counselling and advocacy for individuals. Our Counsellor is BACP registered and has years of experience of supporting trans people and their families, including their own lived experience. We host a number of events based on the requests of our members, including D&D sessions, “Image/style/make-up days”, film nights, day-trips, trans swim sessions, and events based on LGBTQIA+ history week, TDOV, TDOR etc and attend local pride celebrations. We a friendly bunch are open and inclusive to any additional needs that our members may have.

If you are interested in joining please check out our website on www.Generate.org.uk or come along to our Friday afternoon “Drop-in” sessions at the over the rainbow Café in York and look out for Harrie, be they trans adults or their family members.
