Pregnancy Choice

Reflect offer support to individuals or couples in deciding what to do about a pregnancy.

Finding out you are pregnant can be a crisis for anyone, whatever the circumstances, but no matter what has happened, Reflect can offer you support in making up your mind. Their specially trained volunteers will listen and provide you space to think, talk, and work through all your options – giving you the chance to explore your feelings and help you make an informed decision.

We aim to help you look at the three options you have: parenting, termination of pregnancy and adoption.

Pregnancy and Baby Loss

Reflect also offer free support and care, giving you space to share and work through your emotions following the loss of a pregnancy or baby from any cause, at any age. You may have suffered a miscarriage, molar or ectopic pregnancy or suffered a neonatal loss or stillbirth. Your loss may have been recent or sometime ago. No matter what your situation, Reflect can support you. However early on in pregnancy your loss was, or however late; whether your loss was at birth or in the neonatal period, you have lost a child and we are so sorry for your loss. A Pregnancy and Baby Loss can leave a woman or man feeling overwhelmed with unanswerable questions and grief. A sense of isolation and loss are common and may leave you feeling detached from day to day life. Reflect can give you the time and space to listen as you share your story in a safe and compassionate environment. They can help you work through your emotions that surround your loss. They allow you time to express your pain, hurt and disappointment and will support you for as long as you feel it necessary. Grief is a uniquely personal experience and how you deal with having experienced a pregnancy and baby loss is incredibly personal. Grief is normal. When you lose a baby, you also lose so many potential memories and experiences with that child; the loss of hope and dreams for the future.

Reflect offer a “Reflections – walking through loss” a seven step one to one programme to help you accept and move forward with what has happened.

Post Termination Support

Reflect offer free support following a termination as well. If you have had a termination, you may experience a variety of emotions, some may be unsettling and some may not surface until months or years later. Reflect can help you work through these and however you are feeling now, Reflect can give you time and space to experience this in a safe and compassionate environment. They offer ‘Reflections: Walking through loss’- A structured support programme for post-termination healing. This course will help you to explore the emotional and physical effects of your experience. ‘Reflections’ can help you work through your different feelings. We want to give you hope of coming to a place of acceptance and being able to move forward.
