Dealing with different issues,

Door 84 Youth & Community Centre

Door 84 is a Youth & Community centre that offers open drop-in style youth sessions as well as other things like a community café.

What do they offer?

Door84 run a number of youth clubs throughout the week. These sessions cost £1, although concessions are available if the £1 would be a barrier to attending. If you have never attended before, your first session is free! They offer a range of activities for you to get involved in, this might be games, crafts, sports or you can just do your own thing

There is a games room: with pool, air hockey, ping pong etc. The café; somewhere a little quieter with an area to chill as well as maybe do some crafts or play some board games and quite often cooking meals to eat during session. Somehow a sports hall fits into this building for a range of activities or if the weather is nice, there is a large outdoor space. They have also just started their own “gaming hub” with computers laptops and consoles all chosen by people that go to the sessions.

Most sessions have food or snacks available at no extra cost. There are youth workers and lots of volunteers to look after you, talk to and join in with whatever you want to do that evening. They like to go out on trips and residentials too.  Attendees get to influence the choice of trips and activities to try ensure what’s going on is of interest to them.
